What do you do to generate data driven insights?
I use a range of techniques to get hold of quantitative and qualitative data that
includes internal information e.g. finance spreadsheets, bills, customer
satisfaction, along with external data whether its market intelligence, government
reports or statistics, stakeholder interviews. This creates the platform or context
for the problem or strategy that is needed. I then analyse different options,
scenarios and pathways to share and discuss.
What size organisations do you typically work with?
All sizes of organisations.
Interim management support can be for large organisations planning change and
needing someone to hold the reins whilst this is happening; or where additional
capacity is needed to sort out problems on projects without taking on the burden
of extra staff. Strategic sustainability planning has tended more towards SMEs in
their growth stages before dedicated staff come on board with research and data
analytics coming from all types of organisations. Working with the public sector,
all tiers of Government is a key sector; membership organisations, start ups and
innovators.
What sort of interim management or project management will you take on?
I enjoy complex projects and bringing together lots of different workstreams to
meet a range of deliverable and outcomes. Project governance and decision
making is key along with risk management. No large complex project or
programme runs like clock work so being prepared, adapting and finding ways to
keep moving forward makes for success.
